This years OI Division reunion will be held Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14, in Knoxville TN.,
so as to give all you "Right Coasters" a better chance to attend.
John and Marie Szotkowski have been so hospitable in the past, hosting the reunions at their place,
let's give them a chance to actually enjoy a reunion, without the worry of hosting.
The Place:
Best Western Cedar Bluffs, in West Knoxville, TN.
420 Peters Road North, Knoxville, TN. Close to InterState 10 and 75)
(All of he rooms have been recently remodeled).
No group outings have been planned yet, but my research has yielded some interesting tid-bits.
Oak Ridge National Laboratory (home of the development of the A-bomb, you can see a Graphite Reactor and the Y-12 plant) on tour........
Dollywood is nearby, as is the Great Smokey Mountain National Park (with bus tours).
There are also many Civil War sites to visit.
I have had the hotel block 10 rooms.
Meaning they will hold those 10 rooms for Bennington attendees (survivors), until May 15th.
So, book your room as soon as possible.
Be sure to tell them you are part of the USS Bennington, OI Division reunion.

I have a "Hospitality room" reserved for Friday night (June 12th) (more to follow) and we can have (hot) breakfasts on
Saturday and Sunday mornings at the hotel (cost of the breakfasts are included in the room rates).
Anyone want to rent a Harley???

One more thing....
John and Marie are driving from the "Left coast" to Knoxville.
If anyone is interested in "caravaning" all, or part of the way with them (as I am), contact Johnski for details.
