I thought you might want to add this photo to your collection. This is a picture of some of the members of the Aft 5 in. Gun Crew on the USS Bennington sometime in 1944-1945. My father's name is Charles Newman and he is on the far right in the second row. My father is still alive and is doing well after heart by-pass surgery last year.
He doesn't do computers or Email so I function as his link to the
USS Bennington information on the web. He would love to hear from old shipmates.
The web site is great.
I really enjoy researching the history of the ship as does my 12 year old son.
