Before we left to go back to the VFW, for a buffet lunch,
I stopped and congratulated the new Bennington Fire Chief, Bob Rogalski and his wife, Penny.
Bob is a great guy and keeps on saying, come on,
when are you coming back for a reunion,
I want all of you here while I am Chief, so we can take care of you. ( again )
When we had our reunion in Bennington in 1995, the Fire Department had a cook out for us.
A cook out, with food, "refreshments" and a DJ FOR OVER 500 PEOPLE !!!!
( I gave the Chief a USS Bennington T shirt, but every time I do that, it always ends up with his wife. )
From there we headed back to the VFW, for a buffet lunch, and following that, to the American Legion for a buffet dinner.
THESE PEOPLE IN BENNINGTON, VERMONT ARE GREAT!
Bobby and I are coming up with an idea to do something for the Town, you will hear more about it later and we will bring it up and ask for approval at the business meeting in Albuquerque.
AGAIN, we had another great time, and as we left Monday morning,
the last words from everyone were ...............
