Man Overboard
Man Overboard - While operating somewhere near Japan, April 1956, there was a sounding for "Man-Overboard". Thought it was just another drill - WRONG - since I was a Corpsman on duty I had to go with the launch. It turned out to be the real thing. We picked up a Japanese Fisherman and later found out that he was lost at sea some time in January of 1956. Really messy & smelly............
