ELEVATOR FELL INTO THE SEA
I was on the Bennington in 1957-59.
We went to japan & had to leave after the first day because of a typhoon. We were out at sea for 42 days.
We got to come home to San Diego early because our # 3 elevator fell into the sea.
If anyone remembers this I would appreciate hearing from you.
